About ScallApp

Citizen-science scallop sampling, powered by the fishing community.

The Project

ScallApp is a collaborative tool developed by the Commercial Fisheries Research Foundation (CFRF) to collect real-time scallop biological data directly from fishermen at sea. By recording gonad state, meat quality, and disease indicators, the app builds a living dataset that helps managers, scientists, and the industry make better decisions about the scallop resource.

Every sample you log contributes to a clearer picture of scallop health across the fishery. The data feeds into this public dashboard so anyone can explore trends and spatial patterns.
